Tatyana Kularatne - Fiber Artist

Tatyana Kularatne is a Stamford, CT based fiber artist.

As a self-taught fiber artist, my work is a meditative practice that allows me to escape into a special place of texture and color. Each piece intuitively unfolds as I let the materials and my hands guide me.

 

Frequently inspired by New England coastal surroundings, my work focuses on neutral color tones and natural textures, using fiber materials such as cotton, linen, jute, manila and sisal, sometimes mixed with other mediums, such as clay and other natural materials.

 

My artworks, both small and large scale, have been statement pieces in private residences and public spaces around the world.
